Frequently Asked Questions
We know how important it is to have the information you need when deciding whether to book a venue. This is a great place to start! Still have questions? Just ask!
CATERING & BAR
Do you have in-house catering?
Yes! Our skilled chefs can prepare any kind of menu, from the simplistic to complex and for budgets of all sizes. Whether you prefer a family-style, a casual charcuterie arrangement, buffet, to plated dining experience, our capabilities span the gamut. These menus should get the ball rolling, but if you'd like to explore options that are not listed, we love creating new dishes!

Do you allow outside caterers?
We allow licensed outside caterers. If you choose to select a licensed outside caterer, a surcharge of 20% of the outside catering bill will be applied and due to Cappella. Outside caterers are responsible for providing all cutlery, plates, and napkins, and are also responsible for setup, service, and cleanup. Outside caterers are required to submit their catering license and insurance to Cappella, meet in-person, and sign a catering contract to obtain approval.

What bar packages are available?
How you choose to run the bar on the day of your event is up to you and is highly customizable! You may opt for a cash bar where guests pay for their own drinks, guests may enjoy beverages on your tab between a set timeframe, you may purchase a set number of cases of wine and/or kegs of beer and once they're gone the bar turns into a cash bar, hand out drink tickets, or you may set your bill at a cap and once the cap is reached it turns into a cash bar... to name a few options!
Do you allow signature cocktails?
Absolutely! This is especially fun for weddings, but we would be happy to help create one for any event! We have relationships with many of the liquor distributors in the area and have access to unique ingredients.
DECOR & PERSONAL ITEMS
May I bring my own decor?
Yes! You may use your own items to decorate, with some limitations. Nails and/or adhesives of any kind may not be applied to any walls, window trim, baseboard trim, ceilings, or furniture.

What items are prohibited?
Confetti of any kind is prohibited inside the venue. Confetti used outside the venue must be certified biodegradable. Water beads, foam, and loose glitter are not allowed anywhere on the premises. Smoke machines are not allowed unless they are an odorless, residue-free haze that is approved by Cappella.

What about candles?
Flame-lit candles, unless enclosed in glass, are not allowed anywhere on the premises. Flame-lit candles safely enclosed in glass are allowed. The only exception is a unity candle that is lit by a couple during their wedding ceremony and is blown out at the end of the ceremony.

When may I set up and take down my decor?
If scheduling allows and if approved by Cappella, you may decorate the night before your event. More often than not, set up occurs on the same day of the event. Decor must be taken down and removed form the property on the same day as the event.

Does Cappella offer rental decor items?
Cappella has a growing stock of rental items, such as lounge chairs, couches, and tables, colored linens, votives, chargers and more. Ask us for a full list!
PLANNING & COORDINATION
Do you have a planner or coordinator on staff?
We do! Planning involves the details that make up the event itself. Coordination is the execution of the event. For weddings, day-of coordination is required. It's important to us that events are seamless, and coordination ensures adherence to the timeline and that snafus are managed.

Can we hire our own day-of coordinator?
Yes, you may hire your own day-of coordinator but we highly recommend that this role is designated to ONE person (not an aunt, mother-in-law, and a cousin) and that the designated person is not involved in any other parts of the wedding.

Can you plan our entire wedding?
Absolutely! Every couple is different in terms of how much or little they want to do when planning their wedding and we are here to meet couples where they're at! We can plan the entire thing or just elements you don't want to do. Check out our coordination package at the bottom of this page.
RESERVATIONS
How do I book one of Cappella's rooms?
All that's needed to reserve one of our beautiful ballrooms is a signed contract and down-payment. Wedding down-payments are 25% of the bill. Event down-payments vary.

How much does it cost to book Cappella?
Each of our ballrooms vary in size (guest capacity) and price. The details of each room and their correlating pricing can be found here.

How much time is included in a room rental?
When renting a room for a wedding, the room specified in your contract is yours from 9 a.m. - Midnight. When renting a room for an event, the room specified in your contract is yours for a four-hour slot, including 1 hour prior to setup. In the case of either weddings or events, if more time is needed you may rent the room for an added fee.

What if I have to cancel my reservation or change the date?
If you cancel your event, no portion of the fees already paid will be returned due to the time contributed to planning up to the point of cancellation. If you require an event date change, a fee will be applied to do so.
VENUE TOURS
How do I sign up for a tour of the Cappella property?
Scroll up to the very top of this page and click "Book a Tour" or click here. You will be prompted to choose a date and time that works for you, our staff will be notified, and you will receive a confirmation email.

Who are tours for?
Tours are a great starting point if you're in the beginning stages of planning! They are free and no obligation. If you haven't been to the property in person and want to see if Cappella is the perfect fit for your occasion, a tour is the best way to ask questions, get a feel for the space, and have one-on-one time with our coordinator.

What if I need to change or cancel my tour?
If you need to change or cancel your tour, please do so in the confirmation email that you received when booking. This is a courtesy that our staff greatly appreciates.

Do all tours occur in-person?
Although in-person tours are the best way to get a real feel of the space, if you do not live nearby or are unable to make your tour in-person, we would be happy to give you a tour via video call!
WEDDING REHEARSAL
When does a wedding rehearsal take place?
Wedding rehearsals typically take place the night before the wedding, however rehearsals are not guaranteed. There may be another event scheduled the night before your wedding, and the soonest you are able to book a rehearsal slot is 1 month before your wedding. If this is the case, you are welcome to rehearse another night when there are no other events on site.

Is a rehearsal included in the venue rental?
There is no added cost for a rehearsal and it is included in the venue rental.

How long is a wedding rehearsal?
Couples are allowed one hour for their rehearsal. If more time is needed, couples may book a longer slot for $75/hour. Rehearsal extension time must be approved by Cappella staff in advance.
